It’s a well-known fact for all Hotties that Megan Thee Stallion loves anime. One scroll through her Instagram and it is evident—she has dressed up as her favorite anime characters for Halloween more times than one; her nail artist and she regularly try out manicures with the signature animation style and the playful, vampy styles of some of her favorite series often inspire the visuals of her music. So, it makes perfect sense why she was chosen as one of the on-stage presenters at one of the most prestigious anime awards in the world.

On March 2, Thee Stallion was in Tokyo, Japan, attending the Crunchyroll Anime Awards alongside a plethora of other anime-obsessed stars like Vinnie Hacker and Aquaria from RuPaul’s Drag Race. How did she attend and honor one of the biggest nights in animation? Dressing like one of her favorite characters, of course—down to a surprisingly spot-on bob.

For the big night, Meg channeled what she was calling a "Bucciarati Hottie" aesthetic—or, for the non-anime watchers, a look inspired by the character Bruno Bucciarati of the cult-loved anime series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

Like the person she was fashionably cosplaying, she rocked a pristine, bouncy, and instantly recognizable bob. Jet black in color, the cut had a tapering effect that framed her face and made for a dramatic style. The back of the bob was the shortest length, falling right above the middle of her neck. Then, it quickly got longer, reaching the front strands where it reached right under her jawline. Of course, there were also the bangs. Blunt cut, they were even all the way across, falling right on top of her eyebrows, covering them.

Then, she styled it for extra drama. Unlike the character she was referencing, the bob was not pin-straight from root to end. Instead, her hair was straight up until a few inches from the bottom, where it began to curve inwards, adding to the framing effect of the style. However, just like the character, it was styled in a middle part without a strand out of place.

Her outfit was also spot-on with the character. As you can probably infer from the name Bruno, the anime icon is a man who dresses in silhouettes you would expect from one—like a suit. However, instead of doing a one-to-one copy of the outfit, she changed his signature suit into a dress. Meg layered a brown and black corset with heart detailing over a tight-fitting, plunging white dress. Studded across the dress were gold buttons in the shape of a long nail—exactly matching her gold chrome manicure. Then, chunky, opulent rings finished off the look, and off she went to a night we assume she’s always dreamed of.
