In case you missed it, Milk’s new Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip and Cheek Stain has taken social media by storm—and I’m happy to report that it’s worth the hype.
After scrolling through videos of influencers raving about the texture and colors, I was eager to get my hands on it. While I was able to snag one, the Water Jelly Tint has been so popular it’s sold out twice—once within 24 hours of its launch on February 6 and again two weeks after. The good news? It’s finally back in stock at Sephora and Milk Makeup’s website. And TikTok users were thrilled to find out about the restock, posting about it on the platform and flagging the update to their followers.
Beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira, who has 15.5 million followers on TikTok, called the stain one of the coolest beauty launches she’s seen in a long time. “Finally, we get something unique and cool and different,” she said, adding that applying the stain feels like “putting a little ice cube on the face.” Her review alone on the Cooling Water Jelly Tint brought in 7.2 million views.

Why It's Cool
The sticks, which come in four shades—Burst (poppy pink), Chill (red), Spritz (coral) and Splash (berry)—live up to their name. I was impressed with both the texture and the colors. The formula is in fact, cooling and hydrating, with a unique, jelly-like, bouncy texture and ingredients like seawater and aloe. They don’t leave a dry, cakey, flaking texture behind like some traditional blushes do, which is a huge plus when it comes to the application. Of course, the optimal blush for you will depend on your skin tone and the look you’re going for. In my opinion, the Burst and Spritz colors are perfect for spring and summer and Chill and Splash are ideal for fall and winter.

What to Know
A little bit goes a long way when it comes to this tint, and since it’s a stain, you have to be intentional about the way you apply it. “One touch, and you’re being stained,” beauty influencer Rudi Berry warned her followers on TikTok. “Once you put it down on the face, it’s down,” she added. When I first tried it as a blush, I applied it directly to my face and quickly learned that I’d be better off using a brush and dabbing it directly on the stick before swiping it across my cheekbones. When it comes to lips, however, the best application method is to apply it directly to your lips like you would with lipstick.
My Review
Overall, I found them to be super versatile. They’re the perfect addition to an elevated makeup look but also great when I’m looking to add a little extra color to an everyday look—or even a bare face. When I use them, the color really stays put on both my lips and cheeks; I was impressed to find that the stain was perfectly intact on my lips after a sweaty cycling class, and continued to last through the day. I also used the stick as a blush and the color was still visible at the end of the night when I got home from dinner with a friend.
Try it for yourself if you haven’t already—it may just sell out again.
